Bruschetta

Popularly known as a condiment for bread, this versatile blend can also be incorporated into tomato-based sauces and as a marinade for meats and stews. Its roots can be traced back to ancient Rome, where olive growers would test the oil by soaking bread into it. This progressed to rubbing garlic onto the bread and eventually adding tomatoes and basil. Makes a great start to a meal!
